USUAL WORKOUT
I am on two soccer teams - I have a soccer game Tues, and practices (1hour) every Thurs at 7:30PM. I only have one practice for the other team, every other Sat, 9AM - 1130. I also have tournaments Sat & Sun every other weekend, which usually include 3 - 5 games.
Sun I would not do anything.
Every Mon, Tues, and Wed I would ride my bike 2 miles to a Deli, grab lunch, and ride 2 miles back.
I would not do anything extra on Thurs.
Fri I usually spend time with friends - we usually stay active though, swimming in the lake or a friend's pool.
I would not do anything extra on Sat.
Each day I would do 60 situps and 20 pushups, including Thurs, Sat, and Sun.
I continue with the situps and pushups, but with the heat, I can't continue bike riding. I don't try as hard at soccer so I don't exhaust myself. I don't have a pool or live near a lake so Fri.s are the only time I can swim.
Does anyone have some exercises that I can do that are effective, fun, and not torture in this heat?

go to a gym

thats why the gym is air conditioned. You can get a free month from most gyms as a hook or go ahead and pay $ 25 bucks a month. I know it's hard confining yourself to that kind of exercise but summer in the desert is rough. I used to play baseball in an adult league all summer but that was one day a week with two practices. Keep biking early in the morning and maybe laps in the pool on friday. then get in the gym twice a week and you should be doing pretty good

I recommend Yoga and/or Tai Chi. You can do them at night or early in the morning (when it's cooler) - they're gentler and combine stretching with strength training, and they're not as taxing in the heat. Or you can walk or bike ride later at night. I like to go around 10PM (obviously take a friend or family member with you). When I was a teenager, I'd get up at 5am every morning and go for a half mile jog during the summer.
