Hi I need some help getting in shape for Tennis season, I am 5 feet 6 inches and 170 pounds and I want to lose some weight so I have a better chance to make the team. I don't have enough money to get a YMCA account and I live in a rough neighborhood so is there any exercises I could do indoors that will allow me to lose 10-15 pounds. Thank You

dammn 5'6" and 170?!?!?!?!?
ok first, maybe cut down your calorie intact.
second, run! running is such a good way to lose weight.
drink more water and eat more fruits. Not only will you gain muscle, you will lose body fat.

Does it have to be indoors???
Get up in the morning and do 100 crunches or sit ups, then the same before you fall asleep. Run a couple miles every other day. Do some push ups. If you have a stair case in your house then you can run stairs... that is very physical work.
Good luck on making the team!

I don't believe not having enough money is a reason to not get a YMCA membership. They provide scholarships for people who cannot afford them. Check out this link for instance:

Also, take out fitness videos at your local library that you can do at home or do fitness routines from off the Net. There are tons of free ones. Here's one from Gulbis I came across during some research on dynamic stretches for an article I was writing. Thought it was really neat:

Good luck.
