Bronze Medallion is the first step into becoming a lifeguard, so you're going to need to be at least a decent (not necessarily good, but decent) swimmer and in fairly good shape (afterall, you will be "rescuing" people).
You'll need to do the eggbeater kick and tread water for like 5 minutes (sometimes, they'll make you pass a brick while treading water). If you don't know how, they may show you.
Freestyle and head-up front crawl are a must know though. Same with surface and shallow dives. They will likely expect you to know how to do this already.
You do NOT have to know butterfly/dolphin kick unless you are going for beach lifeguard.
You don't get marks - it's a pass or fail at the exam in the end.
