Effects of exercise men Vs women , and diet pills do's don'ts?
Well, me and hubby started going to a gym and working out at least 4-5 times a week and and about an hour when we go there. We started this as our new year resolution and been going for about 3 weeks.

He is already showing toned shoulders and flab on his tummy is also looks reduced.. whereas i am just the same after 3 weeks.. no change in my weight, not even 1 lb and my flabby tummy shows no hint of accepting defeat (well mine was much serious case after 2 pregnancies :) ) but still... No change??

I'm feeling kind of jealous of him :(

By the way, we eat healthy, no red meat, no drinking etc , eat out may be once or twice a month. The only difference we have in our day-to-day life is he works (desk job) and I'm stay at home mom with 2 kids under 6 yrs age.

So i ahve these 2 Q's -
Does exercise affect men women differently? And,
Will diet pills like Slim Quick / Alli work for me , give me an added benefit?

Exercise has slightly different effects on men and women--men have more testosterone, so that will cause their muscles to become larger. Since women don't have much testosterone, their muscles may become stronger, but not noticeably larger. One of the reasons your husband looks more toned is weight loss--the fat layer is being reduced over his muscles. A reason you might not be losing weight is that you might not have reduced calories enough. Count your calories every day. To lose weight you should eat 1200 calories per day. You can go to a website like sparkpeople.com to help you count calories and see how many calories you are burning with exercise. It's also possible that your husband is working out more intensely than you. If you are not working out hard enough, you will see less effects.
